ATTENTION Class of 2017! Job opportunities!! Position Summary The YMCA of Burlington & Camden Counties is seeking Soccer Coaches to instruct our U.S. Soccer grant funded “Soccer for Success” program in elementary schools and community centers in the City of Camden. Coaches will follow the “Soccer for Success” curriculum to engage children in physical activity while providing education about nutrition and healthy living initiatives at designated school sites. The program will involve participants for 90 minutes of training, 3 days a week, that will include practicing and game activities centered on the sport of soccer. There will be two (12 week) sessions, one in the fall and the other during the spring. The initial session will begin on September 24th and will be ending early December. The spring session is designated for March thru June 2014. Must demonstrate successful experience in: Coaches will be responsible to setup/breakdown equipment, instruct activities and supervise games for 3rd to 5th grade students Monitor and maintain a safe environment and mentor children about sportsmanship and goal setting Foster a non-competitive atmosphere with an emphasis on being active and healthy Responsible for recording data on participants to include: attendance, BMI, physical endurance test, and lifestyle surveys Maintain a structured environment for participants and incorporate the curriculum into all sessions on a consistent basis Coach and perform basic soccer skills for participants Qualification Must be available Tuesday – Thursday 2:30pm thru 6:30pm Must be dependable, outgoing, creative and flexible At least eighteen (18) years old, high school graduate and/or college student or enrolled in an institution of higher learning Must be able to pass local, state and federal background checks Salary $9.00 - $10.00 How to Apply Interested candidates send cover letter with resume to: [email protected] .
