ATTENTION FB FAMILY PLEASE SHARE. We need all supporters of MARIA SANGRIA to show up tomorrow (8/12/2014) at 2pm to the City Council Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam St. AGAIN the city is harassing my mothers restaurant and will be trying to take her liquor license and occupancy away from her AGAIN. She has went through this already once before last year and won in a appeal but the cities relentless racial views has accused my mother of attracting customers that are disturbing the peace, loitering, and other criminal conduct by customers on or about the premise that constituted a nuisance to persons residing in, working in, or using the surrounding area. This is what they actually are accusing my mother of. This statement is so vague and disturbing to me. We all know that Maria Sangria does in fact have a mixed crowd of people Including patrons from the Latino and African Americans communities. Unlike the city, My family has always welcomed everyone equally no matter their racial background. Every taxpaying citizen deserves to come to the old market as they please. But the city now is trying to red line where Latinos and African-Americans can go to. They have systematically shut down any restaurant or bar that has a large African-American following. We have seen it time and time again. Nebraska is one of the richest states for Caucasians but the absolute lowest in income for African-Americans. We live in a racial state with racial leaders with their personal agendas. Their personal agenda has been containing North Omaha to squander in North Omaha and attacking my family for almost a decade now. They have falsely accused, slandered, harassed, and personally attacked my mothers American dream of having her restaurant. Maria Sangria has zero liquor violations but they are being Accused of not being responsible with a liquor license. Maria Sangria has zero arrest in or on her property. But stands accused of attracting customers that lead to criminal activity. So basically this letter from the city is saying if you are a Latino or a African-American and are in or close by the old market of Omaha Nebraska and you happen to get into a altercation it is instantly Maria Sangrias fault because of your color of your skin. This is the city we live in. But understand people that we are the taxpayers and we control the city. We as a community pay for the city Council to sit in office. We pay for the police department. Our taxpayers money. We do need your voice and to support a American dream and a right for all people to go as they please and not be judged from the color of their skin. This is 100% a racial issue. The rich Caucasians that run the city do not want African Americans and Latinos in the old market. We need your support and your voice. Hope to see you there. Please share.
