Counting calories may be not your thing or you simply just dont care but your body will count them even if you dont. This can mean fat gain, muscle loss or under performance. Above all else calories in versus calories out is paramount when considering fat loss or muscle gain. Sure eating nutrient dense foods has its part to play but unless you can account for all of your calories then you are just fooling yourself.
