Aaron Maasho is a correspondent of Reuters covering #Ethiopia and the #African Union from Addis Ababa. He wrote the attached article today while there are hot issues like the extradition of Andargachew Tsige. I asked him on #twitter if he is a developmental #journalist and if he is serving the #Ethiopian govt and also how much he gets paid? Now he blocked me on twitter but he forgot to block me on #facebook :) I can no more follow him on twitter like what Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus did to me after I asked him questions. Elias Meseret Taye, the reporter of AP (Associated Press) also blocked me today on facebook after I criticized him about his report on the #OromoProtests. Now these two journalists are waiting for a draft from #TPLF to report about the detention and extradition of Ato Andargachew. They collaborate with the govt in either ignoring news, twisting the true picture of news or by writing about other developmental issues while there are big stories to be told. Their actions have far reaching impacts as most international media outlets are clients of these (AP and Reuters) media outlets. As Elias, for example, commented on my wall, AP has more than 14,000 clients. I believe that we have to report to the employers of such unprofessional journalists whenever they ignore and twist truths like I did here (I tagged them). These media outlets are not like the TPLF govt which gives deaf ear to complaints. They listen. reuters/article/2014/07/04/us-ethiopia-industry-idUSKBN0F91DF20140704
