About 500 years ago Spanish Conquistadores broke into the Americas and among other things put an end to Aztec human sacrifice. What if modern anthropologists discovered a lost people somewhere in the world that were conducting human sacrifice as part of their native belief and religion. Should governments intervene in such a case to put an end to the practice? What do you think? Why do you think they should or should not? How does your religion (or lack of it) inform your response?
