About . An Appeal for Witnesses to come forward and give evidence to assist us in the successful release of this innocent man wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit. A reward of £10,000 has been offered by the family upon his release. Biography Between the hours of 11pm - Midnight, on Saturday June 4, 2005, a man was shot outside the Happy Wanderer Pub and Costcutter Supermarket on Arnison Avenue in Totteridge, High Wycombe. The police arrested and remanded suspects based on information they had gathered and then 6 months later wrongfully arrested Sajid Sadiq accusing him of being the gunman. This was not the case, as at the time of the incident he was at a family members house and his mobile phone records prove this. A trial date was set and following a lengthy trial period in which the prosecution witness [victim] gave evidence, a man who the prosecution admits is a liar and whos evidence cannot be relied on. After phone evidence was produced and cross examination of all witnesses the Jury failed to come to a verdict and Sajid Sadiq was not found guilty but then prosecution requested a re-trial. A few months later a re-trial was ordered and the victim who previously accused Sajid Sadiq of being the gunman, refused to give evidence stating he was in perfect health, and not in fear from any external pressures but refuses to participate for his own personal reasons which he did not want to discuss. We assume he couldn’t live with the guilt and the fact that he had previously given an incorrect statement and didn’t want to be part of any decision that would wrongfully convict this innocent man. The Judge at the time made the decision to continue with the trial and use the victim’s previous statement as evidence removing the opportunity for the defence team to cross-examine the victim infront of the jury. This decision was the start of this gross misjustice, also new phone evidence showed it to be most probable that Sajid Sadiq was not at the scene. The Judges questionable antics of addducing evidence and losing jury notes aswell as influencing the jury are all evident of gross injustice yet due to her esteemed position and powerful friends in the judiciary she seems untouchable [Judge Zoe Smith presiding judge at reading Crown Court]. The Jury armed with incomplete information came back with a guilty verdict resulting in a minimum of 20 years prison sentence for Sajid Sadiq. This is yet another example of where gross mis-justice has occurred due to incompetent police and court procedures, circumstantial evidence and witnesses failing to come forward. The family of this wrongfully convicted man are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who may have information, to come forward and give evidence in court which may assist the defence’s legal team in the matter. A reward of £10,000 is being offered to any witness that gives truthful evidence under oath which assist the legal team in successful release of this innocent man from prison. Too many Asians are wrongfully convicted, it is time the asian community stands up to the judiciary who have for some time accepted that the judiciary is institutionally racist. Considering the facts of the case... How can a guilty verdict be given? A question asked by many answered by none. Thank you for all support we have now lodged an appeal and the matter is being reviewed by the CCRC. Please support this page as we need your support now to show the court of appeal that this can no longer continue.
