According to Iraqi media, tribal forces have killed Nassir Sabet, a prominent ISIL leader in Hawija, a town near Kirkuk. Military sources say the militants have also exploded a bridge on the international highway linking the capital Baghdad to Ramadi, the capital of Anbar province. Meanwhile, army airstrikes have targeted insurgents trying to capture the countrys largest oil refinery in Baiji. 30 insurgents were killed in the air raids. Iraqi jets also hit three fuel tankers stolen by militants from southern Kirkuk.
