According to a 70 year-old man from Tennessee, his wife threatened him with a kitchen knife during an argument over her deceased father’s shoes. James L. Cothran allegedly shot his wife with a .22 magnum revolver after she threatened him with a large knife from the kitchen. Cothran told investigators that the couple had been sitting alone in their living room watching [FOX News and getting riled up] television when his wife asked him to take off the shoes he was wearing. The shoes, he said, had belonged to her father who has been dead for 30 years, according to the report.
