Advice Issued For: Moyston, Rocky Point, Willaura North, Maroona, Langi Logan Fire Origin: MOYSTON Incident Name: CFA - BETTER ROUTE RD - MOYSTON - 1501355 Issued: 06/01/15 6:04 PM This is an updated Advice message issued by Country Fire Authority for Moyston, Rocky Point, Willaura North, Maroona, Langi Logan. The grassfire in the MOYSTON area is now under control. The fire edge is completely secured and there has been no spread beyond the fire perimeter. Fire crews will continue to patrol and blackout the area. Recovery operations have commenced in the area. Local municipalities are currently working to open all the roads in the area. All major roads have been opened to the public. The immediate threat has subsided, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. The Moyston Recovery Centre is open, today and tomorrow, from 10am to 4pm at the Moyston Town Hall for fire affected residents. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 07/01/15 10:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. Continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Contact a family member or friend to tell them what you plan to do now. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024.
