Advice please. I have 12 precious LF eggs in an incubator, and was just about to move them under two bantam broody hens, when one hen got up and let the boiled eggs she was sitting on go cold. The broody thats still sitting will hopefully manage 6 eggs, but I think shes too small for 12. If I had a large area, and put an electric hen at one end, would the broody be happy with all 12 chicks? If they couldnt get under her, they could warm up under the electric hen. Or is this a really silly idea? Your expertise and ideas will be gratefully received.
