After Eighteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnn - TopicsExpress

After Eighteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnn lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggg years of waiting and watching - the case of wealth disproportionate to known sources of income against the CM of TN is going to come to an end on September 20, we hope. This is a case of vaidas, intimidations - even of the judge himself, using the holes in law books and all sorts of unlawful activities. The HC of Karnataka, which is the trial court in this case has stated on 28th August that the trial ends and reserved the judgement to be pronounced on Sep 20th. The verdict is yet to be delivered. We donot know whether the CM and others will be found guilty. We dont know whether they will receive any punishments if found guilty. We have witnessed in TANSI land dealing case in which the SC itself was so soft towards Amma THAT IT ACQUITTED HER while the trial court found her guilty and sentenced her to 3 yrs of imprisonment. The Honble Justice of SC said in the judgement She must atone her conscience in the whole controversy. So, even if she is sentenced by the trial court, The HC of Karnataka, there is no guarantee that the verdict will be sustained by the higher and apex courts. Also to be noted that on the very day the trial court fixed the date for judgement the Union minister for Communications and IT Mr Ravi Shankar Prasad met the CM of TN and said “I have great regard and respect for her as a popular leader. We discussed a lot of issues and every issue need not be discussed publicly. The BJP had an “enormous potential” to grow in Tamil Nadu,” He was earlier the counsel for Jayalalitha in this case. To read in between the lines of the words of the Union Minister, if the union govt sees to that Amma is not found guilty in this case, she will help BJP to further inroad into TN as paying back the debt.
