After I left the stage Sunday, Daniel, who is a part of our small group, enthusiastically met me backstage to tell me he brought a friend and would meet me outside in the parking lot to introduce me. In the parking lot, I met his friend Devin. Devin said he loved the church and he would join us at our Connection Group this morning. This morning, Daniel arrived alone and greatly upset. Devin died in a shootout last night and was the only one killed in the incident. The good and best news of this tragedy: Devin experienced the life-changing Savior, Jesus Christ, that Daniel has just experience. Driven by Eternity, Daniel shared his salvation story to Devin this past week and it changed Devin for eternity! This is who we are - The Church. This is why we exist.
