After a crazy but excellent week with Charlie Muise and Tracey Everson Muise, Ive finally settled down enough to make an important announcement. Im pregnant! *snicker* Did I get everybody in a panic? Actually, I wanted to let you all know that I was offered and accepted an Assistant Professor (tenure track) position at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia! Im excited and sad at the same time. I have absolutely loved my time here at University of Minnesota Crookston. Ive had a few teary meetings this week with my UMC colleagues, and Im in a scramble to help them adjust to my absence for the rapidly upcoming fall semester. I really cant emphasize enough how grateful I am for all the help, patience, and support I have received from faculty, staff, and students during my first teaching position. Turning in my resignation letter was the hardest thing Ive had to do so far... that had to be the heaviest piece of paper Ive ever had to carry. I will miss everyone here, but Im excited to make new friends and meet my new students down at ABAC.
