After a few posts this evening about the state of our country, and a much higher blood pressure I cant contain my thoughts any longer. Yes, Im aware that no one cares but so many have forgotten that regardless, we have a voice and the freedom to use it. It is only my opinion but the state of our country isnt due to laziness, racial hostility, religious contention, who is president, our even who is to blame.....its ignorance. Ignorance because you only vote for a certain party line regardless of what the candidates true beliefs are. Ignorance because you dont bother to even know or care who runs. Ignorance because so many just choose not to vote. Let me just tell you, the people receiving handouts because they CHOOSE NOT TO WORK....Will be there with bells on. They know who to keep in office to keep their benefits coming. Im sure theyve done their research. Its easy to make excuses, but ignorance is no excuse. Putting people in office like this gentleman, or anyone who isnt afraid to hold others responsible is a small step to getting this country back on track. And before anyone misunderstands my rant, I am NOT referring to people who receive benefits and genuinely need and deserve them. I will work everyday and pay my taxes gladly knowing that the elderly or those who have fallen on hard times are getting assistance, because Im aware that tomorrow it could be me and my family. But for anyone who takes advantage of the system and abuses it and is just too sorry to work or just finds excuses to get a check, Im gonna NEED a whole lot of Jesus to deal with you. Once again, I get it no one cares but my point is dont choose to be ignorant when there is no excuse.
