After a long thought, I decided not to accept the #IceBucketChallenge and instead to make the donation to the The ALS Association to fund research aimed at finding a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. I did this not because I dislike the fund raising campaign. Quite the opposite, I find it brilliant (and I want to thank my dear friend Emi for nominating me). But I also think that it has reached the mature stage of any pandemic when the chances of the virus to be transmitted to people who have not yet been infected are insignificant. And so, instead of inviting you to watch a funny video of me and a bucket of ice, I would much rather you spend a couple of minutes watching the video below, which, I promise, is far more entertaining and worthwhile than anything I would have been able to produce.
