After being unbeaten for 99 consecutive matches, the Best Soccer Team of the Century played against the Spectra Secondary School Team yesterday. The game started off well for both sides. Spectra Secondary School had numerous chances to grab the lead. Their more experienced opponent defended well until halfway through the first half when the ball hit the toe of left winger, Iskandar, and found it’s way into the bottom corner of the net. Spectra continued to attack but could not get past the solid wall of defence. They were in fact exposed to various waves of counter attack but they manage to deal with it. The first half ended with Spectra Secondary leading 1-0. In the second half, both teams made some changes to the team but it was the “Best Soccer Team of the Century” that drew first blood by equalizing through their tireless midfielder Mr Ari.
