After he ate his fruit and 2hrs later we headed to the pharmacy on the 2nd floor to find that only one of the perscritpions went thru, and it wasnt the one for the side effects. Our appointment was for 9:45 and it was now 2pm and Trey was exhausted and so was I. He just really wanted to come back to the hotel. He had a few episodes with the side effects while we were at the hospital today and i was only half prepared for it. So as soon as we got back to the hotel i prepared a diaper bag of sorts of things he would possibly need from now on. We called a taxi to get back to the hotel bcuz he was so tired we didnt think he could use the step to get into the shuttle this time. Unlike Tyler, the Houston taxi service does NOT just charge $1.50 per mile but they leave their meter running while you are getting your tired son out of the cab and run into ur hotel room to get a wheelchair bcuz ur son cant walk on his walker from the taxi to the room. All in all it was worth it though it was $12 to go 3 miles from the hospital to the hotel, but we got here faster and it was much eaiser for Trey. Trey wanted me to take pics of me giving him his infusion thru his pic line today and post them. He wanted his Team to know and see he is no longer nervous or afraid to get his infusions here at the hotel. I was so proud of him and he was proud too and said he wanted to show that God helped him overcome his fear. He picked Phil 4:13 I can do all things thru Christ Who strengthens me as his favorite scripture for today, and asked me to post his pics hoping it will help somebody over come their fear too. (so proud of my baby) The last pic was taken after his infusion was finished and he had eaten more fruit for supper (praying his appeitie picks back up soon) he was so exhausted from the day that he was sound asleep in just a few minutes. He will be back at the hospital Thursday for a single cycle of chemo (part of this first cycle but on the 8th day) We were told that he will have 8 cycles total of this chemo regiment with 4 weeks in between to try to build his strength and blood count numbers back up bcuz its so aggressive. We prayed tonight about the shuttle and taxi for transportation and just asked the Lord to make a way for it to be easier for Trey and i am so grateful to report one hour after our prayer a precious friend from my Job (ive had to take a leave of absence) messaged me that she had sent me a donation .....GOD IS SO FAITHFUL AND AMAZING!!!!! That donation will help with us be able to take the taxi to the hospital appointments until Trey gets strong enough to ride the shuttle. IM SO GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL!!!
