After watching online/being in so many awkward panels at conventions, I feel this is necessary. Feel free to share it. Here are some general guidelines if you ever find yourself asking a question at a Q&A panel: 1. Make sure its a question. 2. That doesnt mean a statement (such as, I just want to tell you how much you changed my life *cries*). 3. It definitely doesnt mean a proclamation of your undying love for the panel host. 4. Make sure you actually have a question prepared before they get to you. 5. If your question involves the phrase This is really two questions then dont ask it. 6. Unless you are five or younger, dont just ask if you can have a hug. Save it for the autograph line. 7. Dont try to out-funny the host by saying things like Dont flatter yourself or any other sort of jovial insult. The host is not your friend. It will creep him out and/or tick him off. 8. Excessive random gifting gets weird.
