Aggressive Giants re-take lead in Game 7 Source: SBNation – All Posts:– Pablo Sandoval’s tag from second to third played a big part in San Francisco taking the lead. The Giants took the lead in the top of the fourth inning, as Ned Yost followed through on his promise to use a quick hook, and insert Kelvin Herrera into the game. Herrera came on to face Mike Morse with one out in the fourth inning and men on first and third base. The change of pitcher didn’t bother Morse, of course, as he singled to right field to bring home the third run of the game for San Francisco. Hunter Pence went first-to-third on the hit, keeping the first-and-third situation in tact. Pence had followed Sandoval’s single with a single of his own, prior to the fly ball that Sandoval tagged up on. Yost wasn’t the only manager with a quick hook, though as the combined five innings between the two Game 7 starters is the lowest since 1947, which was also five innings.
