But that would have enormous practical implications.There are times when much more aggressive measures might make sense, regardless of implications for costs or civil liberties, but this outbreak doesnt appear to be one of them experts told reporter Jonathan Cohn from The New Republic last month. They also said, The current method for performing one of these tests, also called a polymerase chain reaction test, is prohibitively expensive in many cases.
