Akon Performs in Bubble To Avoid Ebola in Congo Senegalese American based singer Akon was not taking chances with the Ebola scare in a recent performance in Congo. According to The Source, 5-time Grammy nominee left the stage to crowd surf with the crowd in a huge plastic protective bubble. The performance which was widely publicised was aimed at bringing a sense of peace and togetherness to the city of Goma, which has been plagued with violence and unrest for the better part of the past two decades. It was part of promoting and supporting the United Nations’ International Day of Peace.
