Alexis is so stoked to finally have her new brace. She is happier than Ive seen her since she got the news we were fearing, her ACL, MCL & Miniscus were all done for. Absolutely terrified at the fact that surgery was inevitable, the recovery time was 6-12 months and her fear that she wouldnt play soccer again. Well within 4 months shes had 3 rounds of physical therapy and her doctor has released her to play again after her next visit as long as she wears her brace. So.... Most of her teammates are playing school ball and it bothers her, but knowing that shes going to be stronger than she was before, needing to get some practices under her & her confidence rebuilt, she is ready. Shes going to fight to be the best that she can be. Im so proud of her. She has surpassed all of the docs expectations. She has shown me how mature of a young lady she can be. I cannot wait until she gets to play her heart out on that field. Shes back, the fire in her eyes is back!!
