Alhamdulillah, the Ministry of Federal Territories has replied to the email I sent on Friday on the issue related to soup kitchens and the homeless (I am actually impressed with their quick reply). I will, Insya Allah attend this meeting - and hopefully, get to share some of my insights, from the perspective of a lecturer/researcher/psychologist/volunteer. And I hope the voices of those on the streets will be heard at this meeting via the representatives of the different NGOs serving them. As Allah has advised, Oh you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for God is with those who patiently persevere. (Al-Quran, 2:153) And He has promised that With every difficulty, there is relief, with every difficulty, there is relief (Al-Quran, 94:5-6). Allahumma Yassir Walatuassir.
