All, I was sent a dnr on Dreamland Rescue and Sanctuary in TN and - TopicsExpress

All, I was sent a dnr on Dreamland Rescue and Sanctuary in TN and Donna McGregor by 2 ladies...I have attempted to find out all info to decide if this was a valid DNR. I will let you all judge for yourselves. Below are the initial charges, the rebuttal by Dreamland, AND the conversation with Patti Stinson and Milicent McElroy. One of these ladies acted very professional, Patti however, took to name calling and cursing...and when I checked HER info, I found that she ALSO has been accused of being less than reputable. So AGAIN I say, judge for yourselves. Original email I got... And here we have one of those rescues that only likes to take puppies! Moms have been left behind and while a big shame on you goes out to the shelter or rescue that allowed this... ultimately, the responsibility of a reputable rescue is not to EVER leave mom behind. She will also suggest splitting litters to benefit herself. One of her most recent rescues she split a litter of 5 (although all 5 had a rescue commitment) Donna took 3 and the other rescue was given 2 . The person that allowed the litter to be split.. Avonda Leeman Willams! The litter needed to be bottle fed as they were only days old and Mom was unable to feed . Long story short, after just a few days all 3 puppies that went to Donna..DEAD..the other 2...THRIVING! Fast forward a few days... Donna has dibs on a PREGNANT beagle at Jackson Rabies Control.. turns out mom is not pregnant and Donna suddenly backs out! Her explanation: We have had several inquiry regarding Dreamland and our operation. Please use these references should you have any questions. We all know references are limited to what can be said due to the ever changing privacy laws etc. Donna has openly admitted to having PARVO on her premises every 3-4 months! She has lost an entire litter of 11 to a medical condition not able to be verified as a necropsy was never conducted. Lies Thank you, Milicent __________________________ reply from DNR-Dreamland Animal Rescue and Sanctuary DONNA MCGREGOR We need to correct an email that was crossed posted. Its a sad day when a rescue has to take the time out of their busy day to correct misinformed people. First of all splitting of litters..... Dreamland was the first contact on the 5 puppys. as far as splitting , we were doing the other rescue a favor, we kept the smallest and weakest. yes my 3 were all put down they were having difficulty feeding. second.... yes we rescue puppys most often its abandon litters and we get the calls to pick them up. If there is a mama dog she ALWAYS comes with her babies. I personally have adopted 2 of our mamas. There were 2 times a mom was left behind once because mom was NOT HUMAN Friendly, she would not allow anyone near her. The Second mama, we had no crate to transport , I went back next day and momma dog had died. 3... on the 10 not 11 puppys from 6/19/13...we DID do a necropsy @ the Tn. Dept. of Ag. Kord Animal Health Diagnostic Lab in Nashville ,TN.Kord 7/1/14 ..Diagnosis.... Septicemia.. which I was told from improper handling at time of birth with the umbilical cord ( we did not delivery these babies, they were found on the side of the road and brought to Dreamland at 1 1/2 days old. 4... on the beagle from Jackson county... it is Dreamlands policy to only pull out of our area if the dog is pregnant or a mom with puppys. I did PAY THE PULL FEE $65.00 and I was told there was another rescue that was going to take her. I would had never said ,I would pull something and leave it to die. I would had taken her if the other rescue had not committed. 5.... I am being bashed for taking puppies the hardest to care for, yes they may adopt easy, But not before lots of WORK, cleaning ,blood, sweat and tears. Our puppys like all rescues come with a host of problems, skin issues coccidian, and the list goes on. But we deal with it. Why am I being bashed for pulling moms and babies. How I am different that rescues that pull breed specific. Bottom line this was the work of 2 angry women that want to take a Rescue down that has save 100s of dogs in the last 3 years this year along we adopted over 181 and sent many to other rescues. On the parvo issue yes we have had it here and if you have never had it at your rescue than you never have had babies. With puppies being our specialty we deal with it just like everyone else that deals w/puppies I would like to suggest to you if you get info such as the one I am addressing that before you sit at your desk and cross post you get the FACTS. I am speaking to my attorney this is SLANDER. I would hope that now that you have the truth that you follow up on my references. and cross post THIS. (I was not going to post this but these crazy people have crossed the line. They are now contacting people who want to send dogs to us. These back stabbers have created an email that cant be traced. They have also blocked me so I cant call them to confront them. Now one of the 2/3 people and I use that word lightly was shut down herself and I guess now she needs to get back at someone. she has more alias than any hard core criminal) ------- 2nd rebuttal from Milicent... I have seen the FB post and if you have read it, you can plainly see that this rescue has admitted to the facts given by the original DNR. So with this being said, here are the facts once more; #1 Moms being left behind- Dreamland states she has only left 2 behind. That is 2 too many. Moms should NEVER be left behind. Excuses can be made, and numbers adjusted but the fact remains moms WERE left behind. #2 Splitting litters- Dreamland states they were doing the other rescue a favor. I would not consider euthanizing puppies for feeding difficulty a favor. In fact, I would consider this murder. #3 Death of 11 puppies- Dreamland states they passed due to Septicemia from improper handling at birth due to an issue with the umbilical cord . I do not see where this definition states anything about handling or the umbilical cord; Lack of adequate care from the mother Lack of milk production or poor quality milk Inadequate nursing or milk consumption Congenital (present from birth) defects in the puppy, which may not be immediately apparent Low birth weight Infectious causes A request for a copy of the necropsy has been requested. #4 The beagle from Jackson County- Dreamlands explanation: it is their policy to only pull out of their area if the dog is pregnant or a mom with puppies? Interestingly enough , Dreamland has attempted to pull puppies ONLY from various shelters out of their area, up to and including North Carolina. #5 PARVO- Dreamland admits to having parvo on their premises. They do not address how often. If proper protocol is followed, the waiting period before bringing new puppies onto the premises is at least 6 months. If parvo was on the premises twice in one year, the rescue could not have possibly generated the numbers they have stated without putting puppies at risk. As far as aliases, I have only 1 name. Thank you, MM REBUTTAL FROM PATTI... Well if its on Facebook it must be true...By the way, that was sarcasm in case you didnt recognize it. Hey - nutjob. This is my last email to your crazy ass. I use my own name - which is why I have to deal with idiots like you. Maybe I need to start using an alias so I can delete accounts after after posting and not have to hear from idiots. That was sarcasm - because youre too stupid to recognize it. Now run along. __________________________________________ NEEDLESS to say Patti has not helped her validate this case in MY book...
