All eyes about the state of the Wetwang Village Hall are now on two key figures in the tortured charity life of Wetwang: the fundraiser and secretary to the hall, Mr Wiliam Buckle, retired Humberside Polic officer and White Rose flag-flying fanatic living for many years at St Bees York Road Wetwang with his wife Dot. They were leading lights in raising money for the Village Hall which grew from a single storeyreplacement buildng to the present high running cost white elephant it is today.In his hubris Buckle aka Lord Tattler of Wetwang failed to think about the running costs of the building which were £150 a week in oil heating bills alone in 2008.
