All hate speeches are anti-Islamic, says religious heads in MBT meeting Hyderabad, January 11: Stating that Islam never preached any kind of hatred and violent, prominent Islamic scholars and religious heads exhorted the common Muslims and the leaders to restrain from making any provocative speech, gesture or statement against any other community. Addressing a massive public meeting Jalsa-e-Rahmatulil Aalameen at Chanchalguda Junior College Grounds on Saturday night, guest speaker Dr Hafeez-Ur-Rahman (Islamic Scholar) from Delhi advised the Muslims to strictly follow the teachings of Islam and Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). He said it was Islam that gave the concept of equality, empowered women and the first democratic government in the world comprising representatives of all faiths was established in Madina by Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). He said Prophet never taught confrontation with other communities. Despite facing physical and mental torture and other harassment, the Prophet never cursed anyone in his life, he said. Stating that Islam has always used force only for defensive,Dr Hafeez-ur-Rahman slammed the Muslim leaders who are giving provocative speeches and statements. He said Taliban, ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other outfits are anti-Islamic and those working for such organisations are not Mujahideens. He said Islam has always taught tolerance. Giving a reference from the first war of independence, he said Allama Fazl-e-Haq issued a 16-point manifesto from Jamia Masjid of Delhi and ban on cow slaughter was one such point. Strongly criticising Mohammed Ali Jinnah, he said a person who used to eat pork, divided the country into two parts in the name of religion. He said Jinnahs politics cause heavy damage to Muslims as those who migrated to Pakistan were not given any respect and those who stayed back were blamed for countrys partition. He warned the Muslim leaders against indulging in hate and provocative politics. In his speech, Khateeb-e-Zeeshan Moulana Mohammed Hasham Ashrafi from Kanpur also accused some Muslims leaders of making provocative statements only to retain their seats. He said such statements could benefit the leaders and their parties, but they would badly hurt the interest of common Muslims in the country. He said provocative calls like Ghar Wapasi should be answered not through emotions, but through dialogue. He said the Muslim leaders should avoid any kind of confrontation as it would hurt the interest of the nation. He said that the patriotism of Indian Muslims could not be suspected. Muslim born in India would live here and get buried in their motherland after the death. He said that the Indian Muslims carry the national flag even when they go for Haj pilgrimage. Therefore, the Muslims love for India is not questionable and they need not prove their patriotism to the critics. Moulana Ashrafi advised the critics of Islam to study Holy Quran, teachings of Islam and life of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) before commenting anything against it. He said that Islam gave rights to all sections of the society, including animals and trees. He said it was Islam that elevated the status of women to the extent that the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) said heaven was beneath the feet of ones mother (a woman). He also criticised the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Ghar Wapasi controversy. The always talkative PM has maintained silence as if he has swallowed the soul of his predecessor Manmohan Singh, he said. The meeting was also addressed by MBT spokesperson Majeed Ullah Khan @ Farhat Khan, Khateeb of Jama Masjid Mahedviya Moulana Syed Bakhtiyar Alam, Zaakir-e-Ahle-eBait Moulana Ali Murtuza, Sunni Ulema Board General Secretary Moulana Haseeb-ul-Hassan Siddiqui and other speakers. Welcome address was delivered by Hazrat Moulana Syed Tariq Quadri, General Secretary, Sufi Academy, who is the Chairmen reception Committee 23rd Jalse Milad Un Nabi. Secretary Reception Committee and ex-Corporator Amjed Ullah Khan Khaled also spoke. The meeting continued till wee hours of Sunday. Despite severe cold hundreds of people remained seated in an elegantly decorated open ground. Guest poets Shayer-E-Islam Fayyaz Bhadoyi (Banaras) and Qamar-ul-Islam (Odisha) recited Naat-e-Shareef of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
