All the U.S. has to decide is whether the U.S. wants to support - TopicsExpress

All the U.S. has to decide is whether the U.S. wants to support freedom and democracy in Egypt or a fanatically religious Muslim dictatorship. The U.S. has to decide also, whether the fact that all the citizens of Egypt except for those who belong to the Muslim Brotherhood support the current government and its desire to establish a democracy, is reason enough to support the current government. The difficulty arises when some people in the U.S. government want to support the tyrannical rule of the Muslim Brotherhood but do not want to openly disclose their objective. This causes them to try and hide their motives behind legalistic but distorted arguments about the nature of a coup, or their feigned concern for the violence that is occurring in Egypt, or even their desire for a true democracy in Egypt by including a terrorist organization into the government rule in Egypt. Machiavellian attitudes should be discarded if the U.S. is sincere in establishing a free and democratic government that is fully supported by all the people except for the terrorist group. foxnews/politics/2013/08/18/washington-split-on-egypt-aid-raising-more-questions-on-who-us-backs/
