All this week weve been posting information about our campaign to tackle the issue of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS). We ran an intelligence-led operation across Scotland last week targeting 58 premises suspected of selling NPS. Here are the results so far: - 231 different types of NPS products have been seized by officers - Around 3,000 tablets and 6,000 packets of NPS have been recovered - 67 warning letters have been issued to vendors and consumers of NPS - Significant amount of equipment used to manufacture these substances was recovered We are not complacent - enquiries are ongoing and forensic analysis continues. Well continue to work with our partners to tackle this issue and, alongside our marketing campaign, educate people about the dangers of NPS substances which can be extremely harmful.
