Alonso Hints Mourinho Was Bad For Real Spain international and Real Madrid midfielder, Xabi Alonso, has revealed that Jose Mourinho has had a ‘negative impact’ on the side. Alonso says there were no problems within the first two years under Mourinho, but at the end ‘problems’ and ‘individual spats’ affected the team’s performance. Asked about Mourinho Alonso says that he was “very demanding, of himself and of the players.” “I think he did a good job. In the first two years there wasn’t any pro or anti-Mou stuff. But at the end it was different, there were problems, individual spats that affected the football. “It had a negative impact on the side, he told Canal+. Alonso, who missed the Champions League final due to suspension, also insists the Los Blancos manage the egos in the dressing room well. “In the dressing room it’s not the spectacle people think it is... there are cliques, but in general there’s a good relationship between everyone,” he added. “If I have to shout at Cristiano, I shout at him.
