Alright everybody. I have gotten A LOT of interest, asking for when we might see significant snow here in the Triad. The short answer is -- not in the next week. The long answer is -- not in the next week, but its very likely that sooner or later we will see sticking snow at some point in the Piedmont. REMEMBER, last year at this time we had a mild December, and hadnt seen a lick of snow. That all changed pretty quickly by the end of January and into February when we had a very active winter season with multiple storms. It is still VERY early in the winter with plenty of time to get snow, if thats what youre hoping for. Most winters in the Triad see at least one sizable snowfall, so the odds are in your favor if thats what youre looking for. Again -- no snow in the next week or so, but just be patient as winter is still quite young.
