Although it is not official statement from Marvel Studio but the participation of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark AKA Iron Man on Captain America 3 seems most likely going to confirm because the film will play a big role to ignite another most awaited event in Marvel Cinematic Universe by all Marvel fans which is Civil War. What is Civil War? Probably the ending of Avengers Age of Ultron (2015) will somehow leads the US government to come up with Superhero Registration Act which all the heroes either possess super ability or not in the world would need to register themselves with the government and reveal their identity to the public.Tony Stark is all for it, but Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is not, and the two soon find themselves on a collision course of epic proportions. Tony Stark would be the one appointed by the government to arrest all these unregistered superheroes but Steve Rogers would lead those underground heroes to strike back. Recently Robert Downey Jr. tease on his return for Iron Man 4 during his interview session for his latest movie named The Judge (2014) but maybe I guess Robert Downey Jr. prefer to blast Chris Evanss shield till it exploded into pieces. Originally Robert Downey Jr. was offered for as small role appearance in Captain America 3 but somehow he request much substantial role with larger paycheck. The deal somehow angered the Marvel Chief, Ike Perlmutter but President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Fiege believe this is a opportunity to produce highly acclaimed story of all time, Civil War. One thing for sure, Robert Downey Jr. confirm to have 40 Million USD paycheck and also going to have certain amount of percentage returns on the box office if the film manage to outperform Captain America The Winter Soldier (2014). I guess that DC probably heard the news and quickly decide to withdraw Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice (2016) from the summer and schedule the film release on March to avoid direct face off with Marvel. Yet, Captain America 3 only served as the beginning of Civil War and the battle would continue on phase 3 of Marvel Cinematic Universe with different Marvel characters till The Avengers 3. The duo director of Captain America The Winter Soilder (2014), Anthony Russo and Joe Russo is slated to direct the film. Besides that, the Russo brothers also going to direct The Avengers 3 and 4 since Joss Whedon decide to focus on his own passion project by leaving the fate of Marvel Cinematic Universe to the duo directors. The fate Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D (2013-present) is remained unknown but Marvel Studio still got plans for them to expand into much greater story line for Marvel Cinematic Universe. At the same time, Daredevil TV series going to premiere at Netflix on May 2015 where the series going to be a part of Marvel Cinematic Universe with other three heroes such as Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist. Later four of them going to team up in another TV series named The Defender which have been hailed as vigilante version of The Avengers. Surprisingly, Marvel Studio currently negotiating with Sony Picture to bring Peter Parker AKA Spiderman to Marvel Cinematic Universe because according to the comic book story line, Spiderman did play a prominent role during the civil war. A lot of people speculate that The Amazing Spiderman 2 (2014) received unenthusiastic response from the market and even delayed the release of third film till 2018 as an excuse to develop a better script. Probably Sony Pictures realize that Spiderman is no longer able to stand strong as solo super hero in live action films and require extra support from other character to boost back his popularity among fans. Yet, his appearance have not confirm yet but going to appear in The Avengers 3 (2019) if the deal is on. Due to the positive buzz from the die hard fans, many audience already starting to make their own list for this civil war. This is my own list for civil war. Captain America Team - Falcon: At the end of Captain America The Winter Solider (2014), he swore to follow Steve Rogers till the end and accoroding to the comic book, he is the one character to join the Anti Superhero Registration Act team. - Thor: If according to the comic plot, Thor didnt appear during the civil war but his character was cloned by Tony Stark and even kill another super hero named Goliath. But I guess Thor would support Captain America more than Iron Man due to the his respect on natural born leadership that Steve Rogers possess. - Daredevil: Matt Murdock always need his identity to be kept as secret due to his daily job requirement and if the identity were exposed to the public, his loved ones would be in danger. But according to the comic, Matt Murdock went absent and his costume was donned by Danny Rand AKA Iron Fist for a short period. So, I guess he also would make the same choice like Danny Rand in comic book for his secret identity purpose. - Luke Cage: Despite his identity already well known by the public, yet he didnt agree with Superhero Registration Act because he never trust to any government promise and comparing the act to Jim Crow laws. I guess the live action of Luke Cage would also make the same decision. - Iron Fist : Due to his wealthy background and his trustworthy friendship with Luke Cage, he would joined the Anti Superhero Registration Act team. I guess it would the same with the live action version. - Winter Solider: He definitely joined his childhood friends team regardless what is the reason. I guess same goes with the movie. - Doctor Strange: In the comics, Stephen Strange aided Anti Superhero Registration Act team for his own reason. His solo live action movie going to be release after Captain America 3 (2016). - Quick Silver : Although Quick Silver didnt joined any side during civil war but based on rebellious characteristic, he still would join Captain America team because his respect towards Steve Rogers. He also set to appear in The Avengers Age of Ultron (2015). -Scarlet Witch: Scarlet Witch absent from civil war due to the famous incident, House of M. Yet, she always follows his brothers decisions. She also slated to appear in The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Iron Man Team -Black Widow: In the comic, she joined Iron Man team due her involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D. As the ending of Captain America The Winter Solider (2014) suggested, she remain as rogue agent for underground S.H.I.E.L.D and Nick Fury but she still prefer to work in much secure position especially someone like Tony Stark. -Hulk:Hulk was absent during the civil war because Iron Man and members of Illuminati decide to banish Bruce Banner to another peaceful planet but landed on Planet Skaar due to his spaceship malfunction (mainly is because destroyed by Hulk himself). Yet, Hulk going to have deadly battle with Tony Stark latest weapon named Hulkbuster in The Avengers Age of Ultron (2014) and not sure whether affected his relationship with Tony Stark. But he always have been good friend of Tony Stark and also believe that this law would be good to keep the peace in planet earth. - War Machine: James Rhodes is a good friend of Tony Stark and also worked for the government. So he definitely would stand beside Tony Stark to support this law. - Ant Man: In the comic world, Henry Pym also believe in Superhero Registration Act and joined Tony Starks team. But the live action version of Henry Pym is played by much more older version actor, Michael Douglas who later pass the mantle to his protege, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). So I guess this would be the same for live action movie. - Hawkeye: In the comic world, Clint Barton went to search the amnesiac Scarlet Witch after House of M and absent during civil war. So I guess Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) would be joining Tony Stark due to his alliance with the government for this live action movie version. - Mockingbird: In the comic world, she was declared as decease for quite sometime but later return to earth and explained her absence due to the abduction from the Skrulls. But Mockingbird already confirm to appeared in Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and played by Adrianne Palicki. So I guess she also would be joining Tony Stark team in live action movie version due her loyalty towards the government. - VISION: He also absent during the civil war in comic. But I guess he most probably joining Tony Stark team since he was created under Jarvis AI system. Whether Civil War would able to reach to our screen is remain to be seen but if Marvel Studio manage to produce it, the film definitely going to be biggest event of the year. We will know it after the release of The Avengers Age of Ultron (2015) that sets to hit on May.
