Although the sample size was small, this study manages to get a powerful message across to business owners...Big retailers are sending out generic messages with nontargeted product recommendations! The big takeaway...Only 10% of the emails contained personalized images (i.e., images of products relevant to that particular consumer based on previous behavior). With the market leaders failing to provide engaging #emailmarketing to their subscribers, #smallbiz and #entrepreneurs can take advantage of their miss-step.
