America; [ 1621] America it was believed that in the spring of 1621 that the Mayflower arrived on to Plymouth MASS.Massasoit chief of the Wampanoag tribe negotiated a diplomatic alliance with a scraggly band of English setters for the benefit of his people. It was a gamble that paid off for several decades,as Indians and colonists coexisted in relative peace. A half-century later, ,as a brutal War flared between the English colonists and a confederation of the New England Indians, for the wisdom of Massasoits choice seemed less clear. for if it was not for the Wampanoag the Pilgrims would of not seen a second year. For the Pilgrims would of never survived with out the help of Massasoits . so as you all sit down to have your meal today give some thought of how we got here ,on the backs of the native AMERICANS. Within a 300 year span the natives from Alaska to the tip of South America all would parish thanks for the invasion of the English,France, New Netherlands and of course Spain..................THANKSGIVING.America......................R.A.
