Amidst the pain and injustice everyday, there is hope, joy, love and celebration. Cant go to sleep tonight without sharing that last thought. Yesterday, I spent time with myself, my drums and my hula hoop and Radiohead. Later in the day, I spent time with good friends drumming in community and then at an awesome lesson. Then, I visited my daughter at her dads and got lots of kisses and got to see her light up when she showed me her new thrift shop find - a troll dog doll, and a brand new pair of shoes. There is light in this world, and I choose to see it as abundantly as I see the dark. I must not forget this, ever.
