An apology of sorts for those I am unintentionally - TopicsExpress

An apology of sorts for those I am unintentionally offending. An exFriend complained that in two months of lurking I never Liked any of his Status Updates. They were all Shared Links of a political or one-sided advocacy nature, and I learned early on, that Facebook will interpret Liking those to Liking the original source, and Im particular about those: Inova Blood Donor Services and PBS—things I admire and actually want news about events. Also why should I Like something many Friends Share? Do I Like it each time to show solidarity or just to the first when I think the creator deserves the credit? Wheres the equity? I only get to like my coloratura sopranos once. ;) My Friends might have noticed that what I post on MY Wall are my photos, thoughts, and news—lame or not—they are me. (Though to contribute to a thread I might post references.) Thats my nondescript face in the Profile, not my kid or avatar. It should be no surprise then I Like/Comment on the original thoughts and creations of my Friends. Im a sucker for photos of the family you care about, or you are good writers or artists. Some of you follow different models, and post Links on things you care about. I might agree, and might comment, just dont take as a lack of support my not Liking. Some provide play by play or trash talk. My real friends know that, God, I hate sports. ;) Some just Share, which I think is what Zuckerberg intended, but for him this is a business, and its all about Clicks. Hundreds of Friends have never Liked anything I posted either. Some only Like what I contribute to their Wall. Cest la vie. Some, in fact have never ever put their own face on Facebook, and whether I already know what they look like anyway or not, I like them just the same.
