An article in today’s Times newspaper accuses the Government of delaying negotiations to introduce a vaccine for Meningitis B. On behalf of everyone already affected by, and all those children still not protected against Meningitis B, we are urging the government and vaccine manufacturer to begin price negotiations without delay. We recognise bringing in a new vaccine is not an easy task and we know it takes time. But we are urging the Department of Health to keep us involved and informed as the process develops, so we can assist where appropriate and keep our supporters up to date on progress. Although we are not directly involved in these discussions, we stand ready to help in any way we can to bring negotiations to a speedy and successful conclusion.
