An older woman backed into my parked car yesterday, and was nice enough to leave a note of apology that included her phone number and insurance-policy info. I called and told her that she restored my faith in humanity—particularly after my parked car had been dented three times by hit-and-run drivers during the past 10 years here in KC. We ended up talking like old friends on the phone for about 10 minutes—mostly about how hard it is to see out of rear windows these days. We’ll see if the insurance company is as nice.
