(we had all hiked up there in 1983 and after. My sister in law, Gloria Dickerson, loved it so much there that we had a ceremony and buried her ashes there in 2007, as she requested) Picture 6 is the John Henry Bolen home in Shenandoah before the Government took the land and tore down the homes in the earlyy 1930s. Several of John Henry Bolens children followed their uncle George Robert and children to Hanover. Bolen Rd. in Madison Twp. and Bolen Ave. in Newark are named for George Robert. All the people pictured below, except for John Henry and Mary Cornwell Bolen are buried in Hanover Cem.
