French shells in stores at Salonika, a French 220 on the Vosges front, a French gunner watches his shell disappear at Verdun, part of a motor convoy taking shells up from Paris, an I exploded German shell protected by wire at Verdun, fake gun in Serbia for baffling enemy observers, a French heavy gun whose shells weighed 270lbs each, logs being loaded up on the Western Front to build roads for Artillery, a British spotter telephones in his observations, an Austro-Hungarian siege gun, British soldiers crowding round to have a look at a heavy gun in France, new British guns arriving in France, an Austrian mortar firing over a barn on the Eastern Front and finally a French 120mm gun nicknamed tricoteuse (the knitter) in action on the Aisne. Phew.
