And Mohamnad Rafi? Well, What Can You Say About God of Songs? - TopicsExpress

And Mohamnad Rafi? Well, What Can You Say About God of Songs? Unlike Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammad Rafi didnt have ANY handicaps with the range of singing. It was incredible how he made even the most difficult of the songs sound so easy. He went far beyond the Music Directors expectations. Giving a song to Rafi to sing was akin to making it immortal. Last night on my page Lyrical on the theme Khayal I put up this song from the 1958 movie Aakhri Dao: Tujhe kyaa sunayun main dilruba. Today, I give you yet another song from the movie starring Shekhar and Nutan. This too has Madan Mohans music and Majrooh Sultanpuris memorable lyrics. Accompanying Rafi in this duet is Asha Bhonsle who didnt become as famous as Lata Mangeshkar but whose voice range is actually much better than her sisters. Please enjoy: Hamsafar saath apna chhod chale, Rishtey naate woh saare tod chale.... ra : hamasafar saath apanaa chho.D chale rishte naate vo saare to.D chale hamasafar saath ... aa : hamasafar saath apanaa chho.D chale rishte naate vo saare to.D chale hamasafar saath ... ra : raasataa saaf thaa to chalate rahe saath ha.Nsate rahe machalate rahe mo.D aaya to muu.Nh ko mo.D chale hamasafar saath ... aa : sapane TuuTe pa.De hai.n raaho.n me.n dard kii dhuul hai nigaaho.n me.n dil pe qadamo.n ke naqsh chho.D chale hamasafar saath ... ra : jab unhe.n hamase pyaar hii na rahaa roye.n kyaa, intazaar bhii na rahaa ham bhii daaman ko ab nicho.D chale hamasafar saath ...
