And for my 2nd rant for the day... Let me begin by saying I am a pro life individual...humans, dogs, cats and such. Love my dog, who in turn loves me (as much as a dog can). So, I am in the big city of Atlanta today(if I step on someones toes, so be it)...Have to run into Walmart for some dog food and a few incidentals. Have my daughters dog in an open cage 1/2 the size of my truck bed, with a bowl of water. The weather is partly cloudy and 82 degrees with occasional breeze. Im in the store no more than 15 minutes and keep hearing my last name on the intercom but unable to catch entire msg. As I proceed out the door I am approached by an employee who asks my name and what kind of vehicle am I in. To make a long story short, someone had called authorities regarding animal cruelty. Pleeze...82 degrees~the dog sunbathes in that. So, I am on the borderline for going to jail at this point. The officer was kind enough to explain about how POLITICALLY CORRECT everything is now and how EVERYBODY is quick to jump into everybody elses business. He told me a shade on top of the cage would be sufficient. okay, I can swallow that... Nothing against those who hunt their dogs and carry them in closed cages with multiple air vents but, how do their dogs survive? Adding insult to injury...I know men who work in holes with NO [circulating] AIR for hours at a time wearing more clothes than some people EVER wear, busting their tails for their families (and dogs), AND paying THEIR taxes so the government can spread it EVERYWHERE. Flip the season to wintertime. Oh, dont get me started! As previously stated, I love my animals, and probably gained a few enemies, but what is going on in the world that people are so quick to create drama? Did I? Maybe I have but I appreciate all the hard working men and women who keep on keeping on regardless of the temperature or whether they have a shade or bowl of water. By the way~the dog survived~in the BACK of the truck(not inside where temperatures go through the roof). Still smh. Maybe Ill get some sleep tonight and my temper wont be so TESTY. JS
