...And just like that, there were none? Here is the Renovo yards at the end of the Railroad years. (Early 80s?) Tracks that at one time held thousands of train cars of every type over the years were finally silent in Renovo. No more steam engine smoke billowing into peoples windows. No more banging steel of rail cars being hammered together in the shop buildings. No more men screaming and machinery growling under enormous weights. Nothing but silence. The work and the trains were all transferred to different railroad yards and different people working on them there. The Renovo yard tracks were all still there under the weeds waiting for a reprieve, but it was not to come. Dirty dealings by Corporate executives and politicians would be the death blow, as these tracks would need to be torn up to pay off enormous bankruptcy debts in the near future.
