And the 2014 Act of Supreme Douchbaggery goes to...these New York City police officers who turned their backs on their mayor and the church at the funeral of one of the two police officers murdered last week. Turning this solemn moment of solidarity and honor into a cheap political stunt reeks of adolescent foot stomping and door slamming. What a bunch of chumps. I have tried, against considerable opposition, to support law enforcement throughout these recent nightmare scenarios, but this single act of childish stupidity drives home an obvious point. In many, many cases, police officers are themselves the source of the problem. Sickening. And we trust these guys with guns? With judgment like this? Petty and heavily armed dont go well together.
