And the winners are!!!! This years Brew-Off took place over two rounds. We wanted to reward a brewer that could create a beer that went over well with a variety of people, but at the same time was technically sound and appealed to those who are serious about beer. First, we held a peoples choice round, where attendees were invited to sample and rate the various entries in the competition. The top 12 entries from the peoples choice round advanced to the final round where a panel of judges sampled and ranked each beers aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall impression. This years panel included: - Brian ODonnell, Brewer at Beaus All Natural Brewing Company - Kris Cote, Brewer at Big Rig Kitchen and Brewery - Brad Campeau, Owner of Brew Donkey - Brian J. Papineau, Beer Blogger at bryehn.net/ The grand prize winner: Etienne Bisson (American Pale Ale) Second place: Patrick Boisvenue (ESB) Third place: Nicholas Lang & Justin Champagne-Lagarde (Specialty Ale w/cucumber) Finalists who did not receive their judging results, forms and results at the Day of the Pig event will receive them by email over the next week.
