And this what it looks like as of Dec. 13 2014. Unbelievable how a company can let such an Iconic and Legendary Stadium get into this condition! They deflated the roof to do renovations and never did them. That company just abandoned this awesome building. 6 days a weeks i was in that building cleaning up after Lions games and other events like Monster Trucks and concerts! Take me and 30 person crew 4 days to clean up and have the stadium ready for inspection. All 3 concourses and levels. I loved that job. Now looking at the condition the Silverdome is in makes me mad and sad at the same time! It choked me up the 1st time I watched these videos. Lot of good memories in that building. When the roof was inflated I use to help shovel snow off of parts of the dome where one of the furnaces would break down and we had to get the snow off the roof so it wouldnt turn to ice and rip the roof. I have done the Nes-tea Plunge at the 50 yard line on top of that dome and slid all the way down the edge of the roof! LOL But now I dont think whatever they do they wont be able to restore her to her former glory! Such a waste! Sad to see another chapter in my life closed. Maybe a miracle will happen and someone puts an expansion team in there?!! Hard as hell to watch these videos! I hope the current owners burn in hell!! Canada sux!! LOL
