Andrew found my old girl is Busso... Its her alright. (Shes kinda like Exalibers axe, had three new handles and two new heads) I bought this HJ Holden 1 ton in September 1975. The tray has the bolt holes that held down the different glass racks over the years. It did over a million kilometers in the 30 years I owned her until around 2005 when I sold her to Jeffrey Plummer for around what I paid 30 yrs prior... Except I had converted it to automatic, with the different diff and steering column as the linkages had worn out. added disc brakes and brake booster, fitted RTS & installed Gas... It has pump up shock absorbers, one can see the valve at the rear next to the gas filler ( had to be at the back as the glass racks came down each side. The hubcaps are from my brothers brand new 1972 Holden I scraped the black paint from them leaving a black ring on the chrome hubcaps. The spring arial was installed as was the bull bar around 1980. The hole in the roof was for our 2 way radio which was removed when mobile phones were introduced to our company. Around 1990 I had a head on collision going to work, I was pulled into oncoming traffic by a hoon whos bumper got hooked on mine as he cut me off... This resulted in changing the original color (shamois) to WB Holden white) it was a WB front seat and arm rest I installed from a wreck with the door trims and the carpet. Paid the panel beaters extra and this came up looking brand new.. Since that time an employee reversed into someone and although I had it straightened one can still see its not straight across the rear of the tray... These pics show that the girl is on her last legs and perhaps is destined to rust out somewhere in a paddock... Great memories...
