Anei tatou ma, what a humbling experience, to be the boatman and witness to the brothers being chosen to land these true taniwha. I remember thinking as all the boys were surveying the floor of Tangaroa, Chur, not only is this the life, but what a back yard we have and how beautiful and lucky we are. But then, the importance and realisation of responsibility that we as tangata Whenua need to further protect and guard our unique taonga!! So its a massive shout out once again to the boys Hads, Beaves and my little bro Huckily, not to mention our anchorman Nikora, and whoever else was responsible for providing this taonga for my old mans unveiling. Ka nui te mihi atu kia koutou katoa. So when you see me in a protest line up or posting kaupapa comments, THIS IS WHY!! TOAaaaargh!!
