Ang Misyon, where I serve as Artistic Director, has been invited to join GlobalGiving.Orgs December Challenge. The Challenge began yesterday, December 1, 2014, 12:01AM Eastern Standard Time (12:01PM Manila Time). Although this project Teach Classical Music to Poor Kids of Talim Island (globalgiving.org/projects/angmisyontalimisland/) has a goal to raise US$20,000, the Challenge is to be able to raise at least US$5,000 from at least 40 online donors in 30 days. If the challenge is met, Ang Misyon will be part of the GlobalGiving.Org network, earn a permanent spot on the GlobalGiving Platform, and will be able to receive online donations from all over the world forever! Furthermore, their first Bonus Day is coming up soon! Starting at 9AM Eastern Standard Time (9PM Manila Time) on December 10th, GlobalGiving will be matching online donations between $25 and $1,000 at 15% while funds last!
