Angel Tree Camping The Sierra Vista UMC Angel Tree Prison Fellowship is sponsoring Angel Tree Camping at Huachuca Oaks Christian Camp this summer. These Angel Tree children have a parent or relative incarcerated. This summer, three Angel Tree children are attending camp. Our church will provide camping supplies and tuition for these children to go to camp. The National Organization of Angel Tree Prison Fellowship is providing a $100.00 scholarship per camper. Our church will be paying the additional $110.00 per camper. In the past, we have received funding for tuition from the San Pedro Kiwanis “Just for Kids” to help defray the cost and we are asking them again this year for funding. We need donations from the congregation to help in this important life changing opportunity for these young children. Contributions can be made directly to the church and marked “for Angel Tree Camp.” On Sunday, May 25th, there will be an Angel Butterfly Tree in Fellowship Hall. The butterflies will have needed camping supplies you to purchase. Camp begins on June 9th, so we need to make sure the supplies are returned by June 1st so they can be put into a backpack and given to the caregivers for the children attending camp. If you take a butterfly that has a money amount for a camp shirt or spending money, place the cash or check made out to SVUMC (marked Angel Tree Camping) in an envelope with the tag from the butterfly.
