Whilst the one-eyed is a supreme judge in the blinds’ colony, what then becomes of the two-eyed? A little enlightenment is hereby offered to citizen Ango. Firstly, do the Yoruba proclaim it is the proceed from cocoa, the more superior product or the eastern coal, or the various mined resources from other regions, that helped to mine the oil? That’s a most embarrassing gaffe from a senior citizen. Let Ango tell us how many bags of their shrivelled groundnut and how much was the cost, and juxtapose this with the billions of Niger Delta oil naira that continue to be wasted in the north’s rabid search and futile attempt for oil despite the fact that they have been told that there’s no oil in their region, a continual wasteful exercise that is akin to the gas flaring which has been left unplugged by the inept administrations we have had since independence. Imagine how a professor explains away the almajiri scourge, a monumental betrayal of fathers to sons, mothers to daughters, brothers to brothers, leaders to followers, teachers to students and government against the people thus culminating in the birth of Boko Haram.
